Projet réalisé pour Dimension Data dans l'industrie Événements et Spectacles pour un public B2B en 2019.Dimension Data is a global leader in technology solutions that enable clients to leverage data in the digital age. For the inauguration of their European Innovation Center, that will showcase their latest breakthrough products, they asked us to create a series of videos that would c The videos are played on giant, obscenely beautiful displays: three 90”, 16:9 screens and two 88”, 9:32 screens. Because the screens will also be used individually to make presentations to the visitors, we were requested to make the videos super beautiful and intriguing, but not so much as to distract people from an ongoing talk should the animations keep playing on nearby displays. It made it clear for us that the project had to take an abstract turn. We had this idea that we wanted to create some sort of smooth, soothing movement. Something like liquids blending into each other. We went through an extensive research phase before coming to and falling in love with the final concept: floating organic shapes generating natural flows of particles, and tracing warm, neon-like trails of light. We tested different colours and shapes before finalising the graphical language. At some point, we even tried including some human shapes, as we thought it could be interesting to allude to humans remaining at the center of technology. In addition to the intriguing-but-not-distracting videos (that ended up being called the “screensaver” animations), we were asked to create a boosting, pumping, something-big-is-happening short intro movie. A-là THX. This intro (called the “boot-up video”) is played whenever the Innovation Center is “switched on”. Enhanced by a strong audio mix, the sequence aims at grabbing the visitor’s attention from the very start of the tour and to put him in the right high-expectations mood. Dimension Data also asked us to create visual content for two giant vertical displays placed really close to each other in the Center. From the start, we thought it would be quite cool if the two screens could somehow form a visual whole, interacting with each other in a single concept. We ended up with a kaleidoscope effect of sorts: with the vertical symmetry between the two displays, we created a sort of hypnotic, sucking-you-in Rorschach experience. What do YOU see in there? :)

Projet réalisé pour Hexagon dans l'industrie Événements et Spectacles pour un public B2B en 2018.Hexagon Geospatial is a US company specializing in geolocation and working for many huge brands such as NASA and Airbus. We've been lucky enough to be chosen to work on the opening title of their yearly major keynote event. The film has been projected in 5K in Las Vegas in June 2018, on a giant 100m2 screen. In the geolocation industry, data-points are everywhere. They are the starting point for every single shape. We pushed the idea to the extreme and explored the possibilities of building an entire short-film solely around dots. This story depicts the essence of Hexagon’s breakthrough technology. Today — anywhere and anytime – location is more than a simple blinking dot on a map. Dynamic, real-time visualisation coupled with cutting-edge analytics and automation mean we can have insights into what could be, what should be and what will be.
Projet réalisé pour Origami Orthodontics dans l'industrie Hôpitaux et Santé pour un public B2C en 2018.Origami Orthodontics contacted us a few months before the opening of their Florida-based private practice. They asked us to create their brand identity and to design their website with a twofold objective in mind. One, it should revolve around origamis (obviously). Two, we should address both children and adults demographics at the same time. Both children and adults dread orthodontics. It’s scary, it’s painful, it’s embarrassing. To make it less intimidating, we created soothing graphics and used pastel colors. We wanted people to feel at ease by creating a zen, playful atmosphere. Orthodontics is still serious business : it shapes one’s appearance for the rest of their life. To strike the right balance between playfulness and professionalism, we took great care of making the whole design about three things : the actual treatments, the actual doctor, and a crystal clear user interface.
Projet réalisé pour ETAU Architects dans l'industrie Architecture et Urbanisme pour un public B2B en 2018.ETAU Architectes is a Brussels-based architecture firm specialised in the design and management of private and public large-scale projects. We were tasked with refreshing their identity and creating their new website in order to better reflect who they are and what they do. ETAU is also an unfortunate acronym that, read as a French word, means “clamp”. Our first move was thus to go from a logo that people read to a symbol that people see. We made a point of removing all the superfluous visual weight from their identity to make the undesirable association even less intuitive. We wanted the design to really embody ETAU’s take on architecture : sober, relevant, contemporary and sustainable. To reflect that, we worked around very simple shapes, a minimalistic colour-palette, and a very simple structure. By going for this kind of understated elegance, we meant to let their pretty pictures do all the talking.
Projet réalisé pour OVVO Optics dans l'industrie Luxe et Joaillerie pour un public B2C en 2018.OVVO Optics has been designing and creating high performance, technologically advanced eyewear since 1980, putting tremendous focus on quality and innovation. They contacted us to create a short movie that would illustrate their latest technology : titanium-infused frames. The real challenge was to create a technically accurate-ish narrative that would still provide opportunities for visual sexiness. Starting from the raw materials seemed the right call. We ended up writing this (hopefully) intriguing short story depicting how the titanium is infused in the frames. Despite putting so much emphasis on the raw materials, we still wanted to give the movie an overall “high-tech” feel to echo OVVO’s dedication to technology and innovation. This intent is reflected in our work on the lighting, the contrasts, and the overall pace of the animation.
