It all started with the idea: sound production is old-fashioned. Having worked for years in traditional sound studios, we noticed sound was produced in the same way in 2010-20 than in 1980. From there, we wanted to change the rules. One of us, François, started with Demute, an interactive sound studio for video games. 5 years later, following Demute’s growth, we created SoundShape to bring new sound solutions for linear video production companies. Sound has always been a mystery to most people, even in the audiovisual industry, because it is difficult to perceive its impact and importance. Often neglected, it is nevertheless 50% of a good and memorable story. For years we have seen many videos of great visual quality released with poor or no sound quality. Why spend hours, days, weeks or sometimes even months and be so close to the perfect video and then throw everything to the trash because you don’t pay attention to sound. At SoundShape, we hope that in a close future, every video will unlock their full potential thanks to a well deserved attention given to sound. This is why, at SoundShape, we are committed to develop the tools needed to give access to the highest level of creativity for all video projects. With the help of new technologies, tools and expertise developed in the gaming industry, sound services can finally rhyme with high quality, quick delivery and affordability all together.
