BACKGROUND Please describe your company and your position there. CEO of Fulcrum Labs. Fulcrum Labs enables companies to meet or exceed their learning and development (L&D) KPIs. It’s a cloud-based, SaaS business solution that is, first and foremost, outcomes driven; and arms L&D leaders with measurable, actionable data in order to objectively address performance and training needs at the C-level. Software development and QA to transition legacy platform from PHP/Angular/Rackspace hosted application to Python/React/AWS. QTeam provided collaborative resources on both fronts and then helped managed and mature the new application as we scaled to enterprise. What were your goals for this project? Stability, scalability, and extensibility while reducing infrastructure costs leveraging AWS. SOLUTION How did you select this vendor? QTeam’s founders had worked with our CTO Adviser in previous engagements. Describe the project and the services they provided in detail. Provided Director level and on down software development along with the equivalent on the QA side. Python, React JS, automated QA and AWS expertise. What was the team composition? At the height of the project we had 10-12 QTeam members working on the project between software development and QA. RESULTS & FEEDBACK Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business? QTeam was an outstanding collaborator both in communication, planning and execution. QTeam came in with a partner mentality and not simply a vendor. They helped transition the application and institutional knowledge to our US-based development and QA teams, and still check in today to make sure everything is going well. How was project management arranged and how effective was it? Product management was run out of the US collaborating with QTeam. It worked very well. What did you find most impressive about this company? QTeam had a vested interest in the project, in earnest, which assured us we got a true partner and not a vendor-based operation that was simply focused on billable hours. We were never once surprised with overages or scope creep that was not discussed, jointly, well in advance. Are there any areas for improvement? QTeam was always interested in critical feedback in order to improve and get better.
