SWINCKELS’ A gentleman in a room full of hooligan
When the seventh generation of the Dutch brewers family Swinkels came to Design is Dead they had all the stakes in hand to build a beautiful brand but they just didn't seem to be able to shuffle the cards right. We started at the root of things by writing them a clear and very premium brand positioning.
Swinckels' pilsner was to become a subtle & stylish signal that you are a man who is in the know, a way to set yourself apart from the "lager, lager" shouting crowd, a gentleman in a room full of hooligans. When everybody in the Swinkels family agreed to the "A Toast To Taste" positioning we started to work our visual magic on Swinckels'. A stunning brand book was designed, some myriad "beer porn" was shot, their social media was brought to a higher level and we even entered the world of packaging design.
Road to market strategy
Up to 2015 Swinckel's was only available in bars & restaurants. They wanted to grow towards home consumption. We crafted a strategic plan of attack for Swinckels' to slowly but steadily become a beer you buy to impress your guests at home with. Careful not to lose our premium positioning, we first became available online. The next steps towards world domination are being taken as we speak. But our non-disclosure agreements don't allow us to boast about them yet...

There is no age limit on happiness.
Armonea is the leading independent elderly care service provider in Belgium. Spread across some 60 nursing homes, service flats and service residences throughout Belgium, its 3,600 elderly care staff create a home environment for more than 6,200 senior citizens on a daily basis. Armonea felt their 35th anniversary was the right time to expand its brand reach. Duval Branding was approached to help devise a strong brand positioning as well as the corresponding visual language. Armonea’s unique philosophy of ‘positive aging’ was used as a stepping stone for the new branding. All channels of communication are assessed based on this philosophy and fleshed out according to the newly developed guiding principle of ‘there’s no age limit on happiness’.
In 2017, the new aesthetics collective CLUSTR opened their doors in Ghent. Nightingale created this new concept in collaboration with the former distributors of Moroso, with the aim to bring creative talent and design professionals under one roof.
Nightingale was responsible for the concept creation and visual identity of CLUSTR. Furthermore, Nightingale also set up their social media platforms, built brand awareness and connected CLUSTR with their target audience. To introduce CLUSTR to the world, Nightingale organized two launch events: one for key press relations and another for Moroso’s B4B network.

Het Genker plantencentrum is een plantenparadijs voor elke tuinliefhebber, centraal gelegen in Limburg, vlot bereikbaar en heeft een oppervlakte van 20.000 m2 waar men de keuze heeft uit meer dan 4400 soorten tuinplanten.
Wist u trouwens dat het Genker plantencentrum voor de 3de keer op rij verkozen werd tot beste plantencentrum van België; en dat is niet voor niets!
