NEDERLANDS The Brunette in drie woorden? Babbelkous, woordenbreister en curieuzeneus. Al van kindsbeen af zit ze vol van woorden. Ze glippen uit haar mouw, vallen uit haar achterzak en liggen op het puntje van haar tong. Serieus, ze kon praten voor ze kon stappen en ‘waarom’ was haar favoriete woord. Dat is altijd zo gebleven. Intussen staat er al meer dan achttien jaar ervaring op haar teller. Redactionele artikels, wervende webteksten, persberichten met plakfactor, graag gelezen nieuwsbrieven... Ze haalt u de woorden uit de mond en rijgt ze aan elkaar tot uw verhaal. Het liefst van al met een ezelsoor, maar altijd met de puntjes op de i. Straffe verhalen die u wakker schudden gelijk ochtendkoffie. Schrijven doet ze meestal vanuit haar studio in ♡je Mechelen. Daar heeft ze een schrijfplekje voor het raam. Een groot raam. Dat raam kijkt uit over de Korenmarkt. Want schrijven is de helft van de tijd peinzen en uit het raam naar buiten turen. Dan kan er maar beter iets te zien zijn. Mensen bijvoorbeeld. Als woordbarista kunt ge haar ook vaak spotten in Coffice of een andere koffiebar met een groot raam. Woorden vandoen? Kom eens kletsen! ENGLISH The Brunette in three words? Blabbermouth, word barista and curious creator. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been full of words. They’re falling out of my sleeve, peeping out of my purse, and sitting at the tip of my tongue. It was the foreplay of the most beautiful job in the world: writing. Today, I have more than fifteen years of experience as a writer and storyteller. Everything starts with words. Words I cut and paste, sort, brush up and knit together into your story. Editorials, captivating web copy, rewritings and translations, slogans that stick or savvy social stories: I give you my word. Simple if possible. Imaginative when needed. And preferably with a dog ear. As a word barista, I brew stories that wake you up like morning coffee. What makes my ♡ skip a beat? Food & health, fashion & lifestyle, travel, and sports. Mostly I write from my very own ‘letter loft’ in Mechelen. A place filled with love for the printed word; for ink on paper. A place for the right word, whether it be big or small. And since ‘The Coffee Shop Effect’ is no BS, you can often find me at Coffice, Beans or some other caffeine-infused bar in the city. 1 personne dans leur équipe
